This is a work in progress. I made this teapot from local clay. I used foam packing forms for the mold. It cracked in the first firing, so I ahve repaired the cracks with slip, underglaze and stoneware clay. The next step will be to clean it up redrill the holes and apply glaze. I am hoping this will be my kintsugi teapot. When glazing i will be applying gold to the scarred areas, to accent and heighten the pots history. This is either going to be a great success or a major learning curve.
