I have remade everything that blew up, hopefully they will dry properly. In the meantime these items will be available on my etsy shop.
just tried to fire some pieces. Just a bisque. However this weather has been so damp that even pieces that appeared to be dry were to damp to fire. The kiln was on low with the lid open and things still exploded. Fortunately it wasn't a glaze and I stopped the firing when i saw the explosions. I have already remade a few things, better than before and I am trying to slake down the broken pieces. It's slow but they are crumbling down. A few degrees higher and they would have been a soft bisque. It will be interesting to see if the slaked clay will add any strength to my slurry. Here are some pictures of what did survive. Also the replacement work. The large bowl looks better, if it can dry out should fire better too! Another l
